I would like to share this article with you. I asked myself once why we love this career while others kept wondering about us. I can find the same answer all over the world what motivate teacher is more than money is true for all of us? is it true for other jobs?

Keep trying all the time

Nonstop uploading this was my situation for the last few days dealing with technology as it is a great important thing but it is sophisticated also. This course I passed through many new skills which add much to all of us let me mention the most important ones for me:
 1) My dear blogger.
2)Tunitin.
3)AucBB.
4)Movie.
5)You-tube uploading.
6)Skype session.
7)dropbox.
All of them very useful at the beginning they drove me crazy  but after i managed how to use i like
i do like technology.Add to that our new experiment in virtual learning we had a nice session yesterday it was quick but concentrated  and direct to the point I  enjoyed it, waiting for my doctor feedback because finally I was able to send her my video.

Thanks to Dr.Joyanne who made me calm on the presentation day I was about to cry and go back home before I reached the session. I couldn't say a word because if I start to speak I will cry actually I did the next day as I met my friends at the line in  the morning I couldn't save it any more I start crying then back to work as I entered my first class it was just a memory.That is the teacher as we agreed before leave your own problems outside the class.

Our Presentation Day

Last Tuesday is going to be a mixed memories day for me I had a very hard day at the first I had a very hectic day at my school then I lost half of the videos for my presentation suddenly I found them corrupted. I have nothing to do this was after my school day and i have to start the journey to the auc add to this that my laptop stopped and was unable to start i did tenth of calls trying to find somebody to repair it before 5 pm and it was about 4 pm imagine my situation add to this me and Noha spent about 2.5 hrs to reach our session. I lost the original movie I was going to represent and I replaced the lost videos with another one I was really taken by it but it is a little bit long which didn't meet my doctor's opinion. Again I have to start my movie from scratch finally I finished and I am really happy with it.
It is much better than the one I lost what makes me love to death right now that after all of that work and got the hard copy in my hand only TODAY I found the lost video hidden in a neglecting folder I never imagined it is in there with such a strange name that is why i couldn't find it.
But the truth that I was happy with my colleagues presentations  there was a variety of such a creative work well done for all of you.
For me I believe it now WE LEARN BY DOING these are my doctor's words i learned how to do a movie that was a great challenge,how to adjust the music ,how to save it  and many things i still want to learn this is amazing thanks to my friends who taught me (Marwa & Maram).
I liked the prezi presentation that Rasha did  and this is my next lesson inshaallah to learn.

Engage them!

Have we ever asked ourselves what are the needs of our students, and our kids. In this video I found some good ideas we should start use some of them to engage our students in learning. I found those ideas are great because they came from the kids themselves, which make it really touches their feelings and express it in the way that they like. Nothing is better than you do something that you really like it, you will enjoy doing it. Ask yourself do you work the job that you like it, did you choose the subject that you like to learn and teach about it, if you didn't find another job because you have to adore teaching to be a good teacher. I can say that teaching is a job that you have to sail in its seas,  even if you struggle swimming but you like so you will learn swimming easily and you will be perfect only if you do like it. teaching people is a job where the teacher will succeed, if he/she knows how to inspire students to motivate themselves, ask them in a different way let them choose their own task in such a creative way. 

Reflective journal #6 Missing APA style session

Trying to catch my session while suffering pain and doing some examination at my doctor which i couldn't find another appointment till after 2 weeks. All that made me lost last session let my son sent an apologize just few minutes before session because i thought that i could go. That was my last Tuesday, staying home for all my eid holiday helped me but not much . Now back to school as a student reading other blogs trying to catch what i missed but noway, who was absent will never be like who was present and that is why i am trying to do my best to be present all sessions even when it is very hard. Well those days gave me the  chance to do some reading organize my work thanks God in all situations see you insha-allah tomorrow. 

reflective essay #5 "traffic jam"

last Tuesday, nobody didn't go through traffic jam for at least an hour i think i hardly  passed the rest of the week including week end trying to sleep but i couldn't feeling that i didn't blog this week what do you think are we going to addict blogging or what?..............i can't stop thinking of our drawing activity as i used to draw but now just scratching on a piece of  paper well that activity remind me why i stopped drawing? may be our busy, fast day?............any way i like the activity and thinking of how to do it with my students which class does it fit with science or chemistry?.....the primary or the secondary? i am still looking for good ideas to start with.
about using technology inside the class  i am already doing this most of my classes with a video or power point  asking my students to investigate and conclude, but using a tool to interact with the whole class not yet i am thinking now of using blogger with elder classes and good night for now it is 2.30 am i have to walk early and i posted the video before.

Reflective learning journal#4 Joy in our class

The last session was really different and motivated me and others, the activity Dr,Joyanne choose made us involve inside the group smoothly and think deeper and deeper to create a way to interact in class without speaking , being a student and a teacher was great to get the feeling of our students.I believe in group work but that way was new and motivate us to forget our busy exhausted day and swim with others ideas trying to get the best and that is made the" aha" moment gave me two important facts, first teaching will not stop improving, student centered learning make teaching and learning easier and funnier, second  to be a good teacher I have to search for the new challenging activities, prepare,plan very well for the lesson.
Actually there was another fact what ever you achieve you can do better, and this was from the activity of putting our hands on the wall trying to reach up and up as much as we can, all these things happend during the class give me new ideas I can do with my students to motivate them to work  while they are happy.

Reflective essay#3 how to motivate unmotivated child

I think each Tuesday is going to be a special day,staying all night to finish homework, going to work, then run to class. Our instructor noticed that there was something wrong or different with most of us I LIKE  when she asked us to breath deeply and  drop all our problems outside the class and this made me wonder how can I use this in my class to make my students feel safe and comfortable and welling to learn.There another message for me to organize my time between work, home, and the course because in all this responsibilities I forgot about task due to last session only when Hoda asked me did you finish homework? and you know the rest panicking, stay all night searching on net,etc....I feel safe only when I found my hard copy in my hand, then I walk to my class comfortable because I used to be a good student.This made me got the feeling that when I asked my student to do a task on time, this make them under stress but also make them learn how to deal with life issue , life is not easy they are going to face it any way. I noticed a girl in year 6 of my students, "she likes to be treated as a queen, don't ask her for a homework or anything " one of my colleagues who taught her before told me so, she came to my class with nothing of her stuff I ignore what I know about her started to ask her with others then I said oh no! I heard that you are good student how come you forgot your science stuff I took their names to let them feel that I am going to take an action that they will not like.

the last class was special one to me first I spent three hours to reach the AUC after a very busy working day thanks for my teacher who understood the traffic jam that I have been through and gave me a break to pray
and have a drink which I couldn't have one because the cafeteria was closed anyway I manged the situation
and tried to catch a part of the discussion   was carrying on. Actually talking within the group discussing the questions made our last session  very effective one, it make share our opinion together add new ideas to each other which in another word we learn from each other and this is mean we are still student and it is a fact each day you learn something new  is  a real day. The 8 questions were challenging, presenting different kind of students we can  witness during our work, trying to get the answer, listening to my colleagues sometimes send me messages or ideas I never think about it, and that is make it again clear in front of my eyes that is there is a little student still growing in our hearts.
Motivation itself looks like a star twinkling up in the sky and everybody to reach, and that is make us or our students compete  with each other to reach the point that he\she dreaming to touch
community-based learning project discussions, made the ideas glow in our minds, I can tell that at the first  I didn't find the idea but later I found  more than one, It was a very good idea from our instructor to make a pair discussion, then present all the ideas, add or modify some points to each project.This made us have a rich space to work in it . I am really worried about the presentation we are going to present because  ..... let me tell you a secret that is I feel somehow of shyness  to speak in front of all of you so make me a favor be absent on that day and I am going to invite all of you for whatever you want.

Reflective Journal #1: Thoughts on my first classTCHG504

It was the first day of TCHG 504 after my exhausted workday, but I was looking forward to see my new instructor and colleagues. I can’t forget my first course 501, which was related to our lives. Everybody was interested to know more and more about children’s psychology, and also ours, I think it is a nature in human being like to know the mystery of secrets of our minds and the strange behavior of adolescents or as we thought while they are not. I wish our new instructor is going to lead us in this course in a different way to be creative in our community especially that I found our instructor a traveler and as I know that traveling expose us to different cultures and give us an opportunity to integrate with each other. So, I think we are going to learn new skills and teaching strategies in this course as I am using the blogger right now. I like the way we introduced ourselves, it was a good start to break the ice, forget the whole day and start to sail with the memories of my colleagues and I found that students are the same everywhere, and also teachers are the same.
