I think each Tuesday is going to be a special day, staying all night to finish homework, going to work, then run to class. Our instructor noticed that there was something wrong or different with most of us I LIKE when she asked us to breath deeply and drop all our problems outside the class and this made me wonder how can I use this in my class to make my students feel safe and comfortable and welling to learn. There another message for me to organize my time between work, home, and the course because in all this responsibilities I forgot about task due to last session only when Hoda asked me did you finish homework? and you know the rest panicking, stay all night searching on net,etc....I feel safe only when I found my hard copy in my hand, then I walk to my class comfortable because I used to be a good student. This made me got the feeling that when I asked my student to do a task on time, this make them under stress but also make them learn how to deal with life issue , life is not easy they are going to face it any way. I noticed a girl in year 6 of my students, "she likes to be treated as a queen, don't ask her for a homework or anything " one of my colleagues who taught her before told me so, she came to my class with nothing of her stuff I ignore what I know about her started to ask her with others then I said oh no! I heard that you are good student how come you forgot your science stuff I took their names to let them feel that I am going to take an action that they will not like.
Next class when I entered she ran to me with a complete homework, and all science stuff I was surprised, that was a quick respond then I wondered if I choose the right door to enter this time which I re in my article because I really adore the idea and I believe in it "choose the right door to enter to your student to motivate them" and you can share this article http://www.empoweringparents.com/Unmotivated-Child-6-Ways-to-Get-Your-Child-Going.php and the link itself is very useful one you can sign up and it will send a weekly useful articl related to teeager's problems.

Very interesting reflection and comments in this blog. It was interesting how your reaction was the same as your students? Did you ever think about why? Keep enjoy and just breathe!
ReplyDeleteIt`s a good thing that a teacher experiences the situations students live.It makes the teacher able to relieve the burdens that students are always loaded with

ReplyDeleteI think breathing process let you get some more oxygen inside our lungs then all over our bodies as if you are exercising makes you happier and more relaxer. This is in my scientific way but i will keep breathing!
